History and
Background
During its initial phase,
the Faculty commenced instruction by
offering the Business Education Program.
Subsequently, in B.E. 2530 (1987), the
Faculty developed and introduced an
Associate Degree Program in Liberal Arts
with a specialization in General
Management. On 17 April B.E. 2530
(1987), the Faculty of Management
Science was officially recognized as a
government unit of Suan Sunandha
Teachers College, as announced in the
Royal Gazette. Its mandate encompassed
academic administration and the
provision of instruction at the
associate degree and two-year continuing
bachelor’s degree
levels.
In B.E.
2538 (1995), the Rajabhat Institute Act,
B.E. 2538 (1995), came into force,
resulting in the elevation of the
institution to Suan Sunandha Rajabhat
Institute. Consequently, the Faculty was
formally renamed the Faculty of
Management Science and became an
integral academic unit of the Institute
under the provisions of the Act. Later,
in B.E. 2547 (2004), His Majesty King
Bhumibol Adulyadej graciously
promulgated the Rajabhat University Act,
B.E. 2547 (2004), thereby conferring
university status upon the institution.
Since then, the Faculty has operated
under the name Faculty of Management
Science, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat
University.
The
Faculty’s core missions are to
provide academic and professional
education across various disciplines,
conduct research, deliver academic
services to society, promote and develop
technology, and preserve and foster arts
and cultural heritage. Academic
instruction was organized into two major
disciplinary clusters: Business
Administration and Communication Arts.
In B.E. 2563 (2020), the University
Council of Suan Sunandha Rajabhat
University approved the transfer of
personnel and students in the
Communication Arts cluster to establish
an independent academic unit, the
College of Communication
Arts.
At present, the
Faculty of Management Science offers
undergraduate programs in the field of
business administration, comprising
three degree programs and six areas of
specialization, as
follows:
