**Authority and Duties of Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University**
          Pursuant to the authority and duties stipulated in the Rajabhat University Act, B.E. 2547 (2004), under Chapter 1: General Provisions, Section 7, the university serves as a higher education institution dedicated to local development. It aims to empower national intellect, revitalize learning capabilities, uphold local wisdom, and foster artistic and scientific advancements for the sustainable and stable progress of society. The university also plays a role in managing, conserving, and utilizing natural resources and the environment in a balanced and sustainable manner. The university's objectives include providing education, promoting academic and professional excellence, conducting teaching and research, offering academic services to society, improving, transferring, and developing technology, preserving arts and culture, producing teachers, and enhancing the professional status of educators. ### Section 8: University Responsibilities to Achieve Its Objectives To fulfill the objectives stated in Section 7, the university is tasked with the following responsibilities: 1. Seeking truth to achieve academic excellence based on local wisdom, Thai wisdom, and global knowledge. 2. Producing graduates with knowledge and integrity, instilling a sense of Thai identity, fostering local attachment, and promoting lifelong learning in communities to help people adapt to societal changes. The number and quality of graduates must align with national higher education planning. 3. Enhancing understanding, appreciation, and pride in local and national cultural values. 4. Educating and strengthening community leaders, religious leaders, and local politicians with democratic awareness, ethical values, and governance skills for community and regional development. 5. Strengthening the teaching profession by producing and developing high-quality educators and academic personnel to meet the standards of a distinguished profession. 6. Collaborating and providing mutual support among universities, communities, local government organizations, and both domestic and international institutions to foster local development. 7. Researching and exploring ways to develop both traditional and modern technologies that align with the livelihoods and occupations of local populations. This includes identifying sustainable methods for managing, conserving, and utilizing natural resources and the environment. 8. Studying, researching, promoting, and continuing projects under the Royal Initiative in the execution of the university’s mission for local development. Beyond these defined authorities, duties, and responsibilities, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University is also obliged to comply with the Civil Service in Higher Education Institutions Act, B.E. 2547 (2004), and its amendments (No. 2), B.E. 2551 (2008), along with regulations, announcements, and other relevant laws issued by the Office of the Higher Education Commission (OHEC) and other legal frameworks currently in effect.
