
On February 27, 2025, the International Business Program, Faculty of Management Science, organized a seminar on the topic of “Inheriting the Wisdom of Tok Weaving and Developing Local Products of the 5 December Community”, which is part of the teaching of the International Business Seminar course, led by Assistant Professor Dr. Pichaman Chansuchai, the project advisor. The purpose of the seminar was to promote and provide opportunities for students to learn through direct experiences, allowing participants to gain both theoretical knowledge and practical skills, which will be beneficial for further development in the future. We were honored to have Phra Kriang (Phra Kiatchai Kittiwatthametee Thawibut) and Ms. Phanngam Samana, owners of Kiatchaisin Sin Lanna business, as speakers to provide knowledge about the history of the 5 December community, the importance and meaning of Tok weaving as a local wisdom heritage, guidelines for developing handicrafts into commercial products, and inspiration for continuing and developing businesses from traditional wisdom. In addition, seminar participants had the opportunity to try out Tok weaving by themselves and learn the basic processes. The seminar was held at the Mini Theater, Building 57, 6th floor, Faculty of Management Science.
