The Faculty of Management Science, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, continues to promote the international potential of its students through the 3rd short-term training program in media production for marketing communication and a study trip to Dong-Ah Institute of Media and Arts (DIMA) in the Republic of Korea. On July 1, 2016, the third day of the program, students experienced in-depth learning about the arts, culture, and creative industries of the Republic of Korea. This enhanced their knowledge and provided new perspectives that can be applied to media production and marketing communication at the international level.
In the morning, students participated in a Han Geul Calligraphy workshop, the art of writing Hangul characters with a brush, a cultural heritage reflecting the beauty of the language and identity of the Korean people. Participants learned the principles of writing, brush techniques, composition, and conveying emotions through the lines of the characters. In addition to absorbing artistic and cultural values, it helped develop creativity, meticulousness, and media design skills that can be effectively applied in marketing communication and branding.
In the afternoon, students participated in a K-POP Dance Workshop, learning dance and performance techniques from experts at DIMA, a leading media and arts institute in the Republic of Korea. This activity focused on developing movement skills and teamwork. Communication through body language and creative expression opens up perspectives for students to understand the concept of content creation and the development of the Korean entertainment industry, a key mechanism of successful and globally recognized Soft Power.
The learning on the third day reflects an educational approach that focuses on integrating academic knowledge with real-world international experiences. It provides students with opportunities to learn from international institutions, exchange cultures, create inspiration, and develop essential skills in communication, creative thinking, teamwork, and understanding diverse cultural contexts.
This project was closely supervised by Assistant Professor Dr. Nattapong Techaratanaset, Deputy Dean for Research and Academic Services, along with Assistant Professor Dr. Kwanchat Wongchanthip, a faculty member in the Accounting Department and mentor, who were assigned by Assistant Professor Dr. Chutima Klaysang, Dean of the Faculty of Management Science, to oversee, facilitate, and monitor the students' activities throughout the training period to ensure effective learning and maximum benefit.
