Student representatives from the Student Union of the Faculty of Management Science, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, presented their work on applying "Social Engineer" skills toward community development. This presentation took place under the "Social Engineer Skills for Local Development" initiative for student leaders, organized by the Student Development Division of Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, and held in the Woralaksanong Conference Room (3rd floor, Student Development Division).
Assistant Professor Dr. Pongsawee Supanonth, Deputy Dean for Student Affairs at the Faculty of Management Science, attended the event to offer encouragement and support to the student representatives. His presence underscored the importance of developing students' potential—ensuring they are well-equipped with knowledge, collaborative skills, and the ability to apply what they have learned to benefit the community and society at large.
The project encourages students to systematically apply their knowledge and "Social Engineer" skills when working with communities. It emphasizes "Multidisciplinary Active Learning" through a "Social Lab-based" approach, where local communities serve as the primary learning environment. This provides students from various faculties and disciplines the opportunity to exchange knowledge, collaborate with one another, and engage with faculty members and local community experts.
At the core of this initiative is learning through "real-world settings, actual problems, and hands-on experience." By employing an "area-based" approach, students work together to explore, analyze, and understand the context of a community—identifying its genuine challenges and needs—before leveraging their knowledge and skills to design solutions tailored to the specific context of each area.            Participating in this presentation serves not only as a platform for students to showcase their potential but also as a learning space that fosters essential leadership skills—including critical thinking, communication, teamwork, networking, problem-solving, and collaborative engagement with the community.
